The Crazy Cat Lady

Anyone that has heard me refer to my mother as a 'crazy cat lady', this is why. This was her last batch of kittens that she found. There are 15 kittens! Luckily from two different cats. It seems that every time Blake and I make it over there, there is another litter of kittens. My mom says that the 'kitty count' is down to 3 cats. They have a neighbor that wanted all of the cats, so they have given them all away. This is my nephew, Chase. He lives down the street from my parents, and when my mom found these kittens she had to show Chase. As they were looking at them from a distance, he said, "They are so cute Grandma." Then he put his hands on his hips, shook his head, and said, "but they are going to grow up and get big!!!" I thought that was so funny that Chase, as a 4 year old, realized how animals are only cute for so long. Ha ha ha.
Here is the notorious 'crazy cat lady'! Love you Mom!

Great Grandma Beus

The last time that Blake and I went to my parents house I was able to stop and see my Grandma Beus. When this picture was taken she was 90 years old, holding her 90th GREAT Grandchild!!! Because of this amazing circumstance, my grandma was spotlighted on the local news over in Boise.

We love you Grandma!

Crib TIme

I know that it has been a long time since a real blog, so I finally have some time to catch up. About a month ago, I bought a baby monitor and moved Preston into his crib. So he was around 3 months old, and ever since then he has slept through the night. He has a bad night every now and again, but for the most part does really well. And as you can see he loves his bear.

Not so Fun Bumbo!!!

The other day I was working out and needed to buy some time and put Preston in a 'pink' bumbo. As you can see Preston did not care for either the pink or the bumbo. So obviously he was a little upset and I tried to take him out... and poor (not so little) Preston was STUCK!!!
Preston takes after his mama's big thighs!!!

Cousins

Preston is so lucky to have 5 cousins born within a year of him. So far there are two girl cousins and one boy. The other two are due the middle of Oct. and the end of March. This is a picture of Mary and I with our babies. Elise is so tiny! She is so cute. The kiddos are only two months apart, but as you can see Preston is a little big for his age. He looks so much bigger next to her.
I love this picture because of Preston's look on his face. He isn't quite sure what to think of the situation.
Here you can get a better idea of the size difference. Preston is so lucky to have so many close cousins, hopefully they will be friends and get along together.

Three Months Old

On Saturday Preston turned 3 months old. It is amazing how fast he has grown. Blake and I are so fortunate to have him in our life. Everyday I thank Heavenly Father for what a wonderful blessing he is in our life. He brings so much joy to us. As you can see from the picture, he loves his binky! He has just started grabbing things and making a connection to his mouth. It is so funny to watch him go cross eyed as the item gets closer to his face. What a cutie!
He is such a happy baby. Blake can really get him laughing, it is so fun to hear.
I had to show these pictures so that you can see how chubby he has gotten. He is definitely healthy!
This picture is in the hospital, right after he was born. The nurse had to weigh him twice because the first time the scale said 7.8 lbs. And the nurse said, "That cannot be right." Sure enough, it wasn't.

Friday Night Lights

Sugar had their homecoming last week and we were able to go. There is just something about being at a football game that brings memories back from high school. Though it wasn't quite the same without a hot dog. Ha ha. Everyone keeps saying that Preston is going to be a football player because he is so big, and I have to say that I think that he enjoyed himself. He did get a little scared when the fireworks went off, but we will have to work on that.
